Community Involvement/Support

Industry of the Golden Triangle is proud to be a part of Southeast Texas. We are committed to working with our local community to help make this area an even better place to live for all Southeast Texans, including our families, friends and neighbors. Here are just a few of the things we're doing:

  • Area plants have partnered with community representatives to create Community Advisory Panels (CAPs), which provide a forum for ongoing dialogues between industry and the community. These dialogues help identify community needs, issues and concerns. These ongoing relationships are one way industry hopes to have a positive impact on our local community.

  • Industry in the Golden Triangle works to help support our community using other means as well. On average, almost $3 million is contributed annually to over 100 local charities, civic organizations and special community projects.

  • To take that a step further, industry employees also help support these organizations by volunteering their time and talents. Employees spend literally thousands of hours each year working to support local organizations such as United Way, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association, YMBL, Children's Miracle Network, Some Other Place, local fire and police departments, local athletic teams and community centers. These are just a few of the many, many organizations supported by Industry of the Golden Triangle.

  • Industry partners with local schools to promote a better understanding of who we are and what we do. We assist with summer educational programs, career fairs, and other programs that help our students in Southeast Texas gain a better understanding of the many opportunities that lay before them.
